Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team as a 1st Grade Teacher at Bethune Elementary. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and social growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to promote academic growth.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to ensure a cohesive and effective educational program.
  • Stay current with curriculum developments and best practices in education to continuously improve teaching methods and student outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
  • Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Teaching Certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and supportive classroom environment, with opportunities for professional growth and development. The position requires a 190-day work calendar, with a minimum of 36 hours and 40 minutes per week.
