The Role

Consider the digital interactions you have daily—from the media you consume to the applications you use. Most likely, these experiences have been influenced by Adobe products. We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer to contribute to our innovative team based in France.

This position focuses on the enhancement and upkeep of our Substance 3D Automation APIs, which are essential components of our Substance suite. You will have the chance to work with advanced technologies such as USD, MaterialX, Substance, and OpenPBR, playing a key role in driving innovation and efficiency within our leading pipeline automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

As a member of our engineering team, you will:

  • Design and develop a high-performance Python API tailored for our 3D software.
  • Implement and maintain robust, scalable API features while adhering to industry best practices.
  • Contribute to multiple products and the overall development of our 3D software platform.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to ensure our tools remain effective and user-friendly.
  • Participate in code reviews, promoting improvements in code quality and development processes.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Python and C++, with a strong foundation in software engineering best practices.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science is preferred, or a minimum of 6 years of experience in Software Engineering.
  • In-depth understanding of the 3D graphics pipeline, ideally including the Substance suite and Universal Scene Descriptor (USD).
  • Experience with build systems, preferably CMake, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to tackle complex problems effectively.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git and experience in code review practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
