Aircraft Modification Cabin Safety Certification Engineer

Sabena Technics BGC is seeking an experienced Aircraft Modification Cabin Safety Certification Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Design Organisation Approval (DOA) team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and airworthiness of aircraft modifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement certification strategies for aircraft modifications, ensuring compliance with EASA and FAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure that modifications meet safety and airworthiness standards.
  • Review and approve certification packages, including system description documents, substantiation documents, and operational documentation.
  • Communicate with aviation authorities, including EASA and FAA, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams to ensure that modifications are completed safely and efficiently.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical discipline, such as aerospace engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in aircraft modification or certification, preferably in a DOA environment.
  • Strong knowledge of EASA and FAA regulations, including CS25 and CS27/CS29.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
