SABENA TECHNICS BGC - Aircraft Support & Operations is seeking a highly skilled Senior Aircraft Modification Cabin Safety Certification Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Aircraft Modification division, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and compliant certification of aircraft cabin modifications.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Certification: Participate in the design of aircraft modifications and verify that the design meets certification requirements.
- Certification Basis and Airworthiness Directives: Define certification basis and evaluate Airworthiness Directives applicability for each modification, in collaboration with EASA authorities for major modifications.
- Certification Plan and Testing: Define a certification plan, including equipment qualification, definition of means of compliance, and testing activities.
- Certification Package: Elaborate and author documents composing the certification package, including system description documents, substantiation documents, operational documentation, and instructions for continued airworthiness.
- Substantiation Documents: Ensure follow-up of substantiation documents developed by equipment manufacturers or external providers.
- Aviation Authorities: Report and coordinate with aviation authorities during the STC approval process.
- Project Managers: Report to project managers on risks related to certification, progress in the certification dossier, and other relevant information.
- CVE/HDO/HOA/HTO: Report to CVE/HDO/HOA/HTO in case of technical difficulties.
- Head of Department: Report to the Head of Department in case of technical or project difficulties.
- Education: Bachelor or Master's degree in a technical discipline, preferably aerospace education.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in DOA as a certification engineer for aeronautical activities - Cabin safety.
- Skills: Good knowledge of aircraft environment and architecture, avionics systems, A/C operational and maintenance documentation, equipment qualification process, DOA process, and certification process.
- Languages: English (professional level) and French (desirable).
