Position: Lead Method Engineer
Field of Expertise: Subsea installation and structural lifting for offshore projects
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate and determine the most suitable installation methodology in accordance with the assigned Scope of Work.
- Develop detailed work procedures and task plans aligned with project specifications, health, safety, and environmental standards, as well as quality expectations.
- Prepare necessary installation documentation, ensuring timely delivery of all materials to the client.
- Monitor client feedback and facilitate the approval process for all documents.
- Identify components of the installation scope that require subcontracting and define the subcontractor's responsibilities.
- Compile a comprehensive list of equipment needed for the assigned tasks.
- Collaborate closely with the project procurement manager to solicit bids and evaluate proposals from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Engage in the selection process of subcontractors/suppliers and validate their technical submissions.
- Formulate a timeline for equipment provision and resource allocation, along with an overall activity schedule.
- Conduct technical reviews of procedures, incorporating feedback from the project and corporate technical teams.
- Work alongside the operations engineer to ensure the feasibility of the operations as per established procedures.
- The Method Engineer may oversee operations on-site and ensure adherence to work procedures.
- Organize the initial work meeting with the team, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- During operations, ensure compliance with procedures and task plans, maintaining adherence to the operational timeline.
- In the event of changes, propose alternative methods and actively participate in managing change requirements.
- Degree from an engineering institution, ready for immediate contribution.
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in offshore lifting and subsea installation roles.
- Comprehensive technical understanding of offshore/marine/subsea operations.
- Extensive knowledge of offshore lifting and subsea installation techniques.
- Familiarity with equipment utilized in offshore environments.
- Understanding of offshore operational procedures.
- Awareness of safety regulations applicable to offshore work.
- Proficiency in Orcaflex software.
Contract Duration: 12 months
Work Location: Primarily based in France with regular travel to project sites.
