Drilling Method Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Drilling Method Engineer to join our team for a major offshore gas project. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and selecting the proper methodology of installation, issuing work procedures, and ensuring compliance with project and client standards.
Main Responsibilities:- Analyze and select the proper methodology of installation related to the scope of work in charge.
- Issue work procedure and detailed task plan as per project requirement, HSE and quality project and client standards.
- Establish the required installation documents considering the schedule of transmission of the deliverables to the client.
- Ensure the follow-up of the client comments and the document approval.
- Define the part of the installation scope of work to be subcontracted and establish the subcontractors' scope of work.
- Establish the listing of equipment required for the activity in charge.
- Work in direct liaison with the project procurement manager to call for tender and analyze the subcontractor's/supplier's proposal.
- Participate to the selection of the subcontractor/supplier and validate the technical dossier.
- Establish the schedule of equipment supply and resource plan, as well as the overall schedule of the activity.
- Prepare technical review of the procedures for the project and corporate technical team comments and approval.
- Work in liaison with the operation engineer in charge of the performance of the scope and manage interfaces to ensure the feasibility of the operation as per the procedure.
- Participate to the process of lessons learnt.
- The Method Engineer could follow the operation at site and ensure the correct understanding of the work procedures, prepare the work kick-off meeting with the internal team/subcontractor team and client representative.
- Once in operation, the Method Engineer ensures that the work is performed in compliance with the procedure and task plan and in the time frame as estimated in the operation schedule.
- In case of change, he/she proposes alternative methods and participates actively in the management of change.
- General technical knowledge of offshore/marine works.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of physical phenomena related to work at sea.
- Understanding of equipment used for offshore work.
- Knowledge of offshore work procedures.
- Knowledge of safety rules.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- MS Project competency.
- Autocad and Orcaflex use.
- Methods: drilling/piling/heavy lift.
