Job Purpose:
- Deliver technical expertise to ensure timely completion of studies and effectively communicate results to clients and interdisciplinary teams.
- Oversee and manage work scopes and studies within agreed cost, schedule, and quality parameters as defined by client agreements, ensuring adherence to Technip Energies protocols.
- Prepare and contribute to manhour estimates and proposals based on client specifications and defined work scopes, acting as a proposal manager to coordinate disciplines and ensure high-quality documentation.
- Support business development initiatives through client engagements, participation in conferences, industry events, and workgroup meetings.
- Mentor and facilitate the development of junior team members, with potential responsibilities as a line manager for new recruits.

As a Study Manager, you will play a vital role in the growth of our Abu Dhabi office, responsible for executing early-phase projects (from Conceptual to Pre-FEED) for a diverse range of clients, including developers and operators of innovative energy projects. You will work in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment, collaborating closely with various Technip Energies offices worldwide.
Job Scope:
- Draft proposals outlining methodologies, schedules, resource requirements, and cost estimates.
- Ensure study scopes are executed in alignment with Technip Energies' expectations for delivery, quality, and innovation.
- Conduct multi-disciplinary techno-economic development studies to provide technically sound solutions that optimize client commercial objectives.
- Offer technical guidance and expertise, both internally and during client interactions.
- Keep clients informed of study progress, including technical, commercial, and scheduling updates, addressing any deviations from the plan promptly.
- Maintain proactive communication with all stakeholders, implementing a no-surprises policy.
- Identify future work opportunities through business development and networking.
- Build client relationships based on mutual trust and respect.
- Relevant engineering degree; preferred backgrounds include process engineering, project engineering, renewable asset development, or other technical energy roles.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of experience, primarily in the upstream oil and gas sector.
- Strong competency in field development and process engineering, with an understanding of broader disciplines such as construction and project management.
- Experience in feasibility and conceptual design phases of projects.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Fluency in English (written and oral); proficiency in French is advantageous.
- Proactive communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Client-focused with experience in facilitating client meetings and managing relationships.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of commercial dynamics in project delivery.
- Knowledge of Energy Transition markets and drivers, including technical, economic, and regulatory aspects.
