Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at Hyatt Hotels Corporation. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for providing financial support to our hotel operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, and maintaining a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Transaction Processing
  • Process daily invoices, matching them to supporting authorizations and receiving records.
  • Prepare account allocations and batch invoices for posting.
  • Verify accuracy of account allocations and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Obtain and file supporting documents for authorized purchases.
  • Process payments and submit them for final approval and signature.
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Financial Reporting and Analysis
  • Prepare monthly accruals for goods and services received but not invoiced.
  • Assist in reconciling month-end inventory book balances to actual physical counts.
  • Provide financial data and analysis to support business decisions.
Personnel Responsibilities
  • Develop and train Accounting Clerks to work in accordance with operational, financial, and administrative philosophies.
  • Supervise and delegate duties to equipped and resourced employees, ensuring standards of operation and safety are maintained.
  • Monitor employee morale and provide mechanisms for performance feedback and development.
Other Duties
  • Attend and contribute to training sessions and meetings as required.
  • Stay knowledgeable in statutory legislation in taxes, employee, and industrial relations.
  • Exercise responsible behavior at all times and positively represent the hotel team and Hyatt International.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or related field, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, with ability to learn new systems and technologies.
