Position Overview:We are in search of a Pricing Engineer with a Focus on Terracing to become a vital member of our client's innovative team. This pivotal position entails overseeing both the financial and technical dimensions of projects, guaranteeing the precision and competitiveness of submitted proposals.
- Evaluate tender documents, technical requirements, and blueprints to determine project needs.
- Perform site assessments and geotechnical investigations to calculate the volume of materials required.
- Create comprehensive budgets, cost projections, and competitive proposals, taking into account labor, equipment, and material needs.
- Work in close collaboration with design and implementation teams to enhance work processes and reduce expenses.
- Track project financials, scrutinize discrepancies between projected and actual costs, and suggest corrective actions when necessary.
- Engage in coordination discussions with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure a mutual understanding of project objectives.
- Spot opportunities for added value and recommend alternative strategies to improve project effectiveness and profitability.
Essential Qualifications:
- Degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in cost estimation, ideally within the excavation industry.
- Familiarity with modeling and estimation tools (such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Excel).
- Capability to interpret blueprints and technical documentation.
- Strong analytical abilities and a methodical approach to work.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
- Capacity to perform under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
