Ametra Engineering is a 40-year-old engineering firm with a strong focus on mechanical engineering. We have our own design offices and also work with client teams, with a R&D department consisting of over 700 employees and a national presence.
Joining our design offices means becoming part of an independent group that stands out for its proximity-based management and strong technical component. We work with major groups in the sector such as MBDA, NEXTER, THALES, SAFRAN, FRAMATOME, ORANO, EDVANCE, SNCF, and RATP, who trust us to contribute to high-value-added projects in the defense, nuclear, aerospace, and rail sectors.
As a mechanical designer/project manager, you will be responsible for mechanical design and project management tasks on a defense project.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Creating 3D mechanical design studies
- Preparing design documentation
- Participating in pre-dimensioning of components
- Proposing technical solutions
- Justifying designs (chain of edges, ISO pricing, etc.)
- Preparing component nomenclatures and tracking component requests
- Creating CAO remounts of equipment and ensuring the assembly of mechanical parts
Job Requirements:
You must have a degree in mechanical engineering (BAC+2/3) and significant experience in mechanical design. You should have:
- Strong skills and experience in mechanical design
- Strong skills and experience in functional analysis and ISO pricing
- A good mechanical culture and a pronounced sense of physicality
- Mastering of tools: CREO and/or Catia and/or SolidWorks & PLM (Complementary training on these tools will be provided)
- You are recognized for your passion for mechanical design
