Alstom is seeking a highly skilled Acoustic Engineer to join our team in the System & Infrastructure department. As a key member of our Noise & Vibration transversal expertise team, you will be responsible for performing and supervising noise and vibration assessment impact studies, organizing and supervising noise and vibration and track performance measurement, and delivering design of attenuating track to the Track team.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze noise and vibration requirements in Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Define a compliant noise and vibration activity (noise and vibration management plan) for project phases.
- Identify technical/project risks in noise and vibration field and assess associated financial provisions and/or propose first design mitigations.
- Estimate costs for noise and vibration activities in project phases.
- Support track designers in implementing anti-vibration solution rules.
- Define and conduct on-site testing by coordinating with Track and Control and operation management teams.
- Manage noise and vibration subcontractors (consultants, laboratories) by selecting them, specifying the job, supervising their work, controlling invoices, etc.
- Work with mitigation solution suppliers.
- Produce system and infrastructure noise and vibration and dynamic submittals.
- Assure a high-quality level of noise and vibration technical documentation.
- Master's University Degree in Engineering.
- Specialization in mechanics and vibratory and acoustic engineering.
- Significant experience (3 years) in vibro-acoustic engineering, environmental acoustics (ideally in the railway environment).
- Significant experience (3 years) in monitoring and coordinating studies and subcontractors.
- Good experience in customer and supplier relations.
- Skills in vibration and acoustic calculation/simulation and measurements (knowledge of acquisition systems such as B&K or 01dB dB).
- Mastery of environmental acoustic simulation tools (CADNAA).
- Knowledge of norms and standards relating to noise and vibration studies environmental impact and rail systems (ISO 2631, ISO 14837, DIN 4150, FTA etc.).
- Knowledge of GIS tools (ArcGIS Pro).
- Mastery of Microsoft office tools.
- Mastery of Matlab would be appreciated.
- Fluent in English.
- Availability to travel worldwide.
