Job Title: System Engineering Manager

Alstom is seeking a highly skilled System Engineering Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for coordinating system engineering studies for turnkey projects and leading those studies.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of system specifications, including functional, architecture, transverse, and interface documents.
  • Obtain customer/engineer acceptance of system specifications.
  • Organize engineering activities, including priorities, schedule, and delivery, in liaison with the Project Engineering Manager.
  • Produce system specification and interfaces documents in coordination with subsystem design.
  • Follow up on demonstration of compliance to contractual requirements and their allocation to subsystems, and obtain customer/engineer approval.
  • Lead verification and demonstration through design of system performances.
  • Support subsystems in their technical discussion with the customer/engineer.
  • Manage interface definition with the support of the E&M interface manager.
Main Required Competences:
  • Master's degree in Engineering.
  • Knowledge of railway systems, operating requirements, available equipment, and systems.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Engineering/Technical functions in railway, including at least 3 years in managerial positions in turnkey railway international projects.
  • Expert in System Engineering.
  • Fluent in English and French, and fluent in contract language.
  • Good coordination and communication skills.
  • Promote teamwork.
  • Knowledge of system engineering methodology (MBSE).
  • Ability to challenge subsystems solutions for global optimization.
