Job Description:

As a key member of the Health/International Pensions Actuarial division at AXA, you will have the opportunity to excel in a challenging role that involves the reserving of the Health/International Pensions division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Participate in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Data Validation: Validate the quality of data used for provisioning, ensuring that it is reliable and accurate.
  • Actuarial Analysis: Produce and document actuarial analyses to optimize liability knowledge, validate commitments for various guarantees (death, health, and disability), develop and monitor backtesting analyses of technical assumptions.
  • Provisioning Validation: Validate assumptions, methodologies, and amounts of the portfolio's provisions, ensuring that they are in line with industry standards.
  • Results Analysis: Conduct an analysis of results at each accounting close, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Prepare result presentations and technical analyses for Reserving Committees and Technical Results Presentation Committees.
  • Actuarial Function Opinion: Contribute to the Actuarial Function's opinion on these portfolios.
Inventory Process Redesign:
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of provisioning processes, tools, and estimation methods.
Profile:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced actuary with a strong background in actuarial techniques and statistics. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Graduate Actuary: A graduate actuary with a minimum of one year of experience in actuarial techniques and/or statistics in health/pensions.
  • Numerical Skills: Numerically skilled with data manipulation abilities.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using tools such as SAS/WPS, Excel, VBA, and R/Python.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English (oral and written).
  • Organizational Skills: Organized with the ability to plan work, respect deadlines, and established schedules.
  • Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented, able to explain work and provide necessary elements for decision-making.
  • Team Player: Team player with a passion for sharing, innovating, and taking initiative.
  • Customer Focus: Customer-oriented.
