Actuarial Modeling Life Insurance Expert

The Actuary Modeling Life Insurance Specialist will be responsible for evaluating provisions under various norms, including social, IFRS17, and Solvability 2. This role will also involve modeling in the life insurance projection tool, which is used for best estimate calculations under S2 and IFRS17. The life insurance projection model is a critical component of risk assessment and profitability analysis for the business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the model is adapted to changing regulatory requirements, new product launches, and new asset classes. They will also be responsible for ensuring that the model's calculation times are compatible with production deadlines, which are subject to constraints.
Key Responsibilities- Develop transversal projects for the life insurance collective or individual production teams, including:
- Retailizing developments of the life insurance projection model or connected tools, such as:
- Evolution to bring the model into compliance with existing regulations;
- Optimizing the STEC or IFRS17 result;
- Correcting identified anomalies;
- Being a driving force for improvements in modeling within the Sunrise model (C++) or associated tools (Databricks, Power BI), including:
- Automations;
- Code optimizations;
- Ensuring the dissemination of technical excellence within the modeling teams through user support or training;
- Ensuring the maintenance of functional and technical documentation for the model (ACPR);
- Finalizing the cloud migration project as a business expert to ensure a deployment compatible with the production process and monitoring the correct deployment of new features;
- Contributing to the management of the internal platform for production teams, including:
- Optimizing core allocation;
- Monitoring issue resolution for tools;
- Collaborating with other services, such as the Investment Department, Information Systems, and external risk or business teams.
We are looking for a highly skilled Actuary Modeling Life Insurance Specialist with a strong background in actuarial science or a related field. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in developing life insurance models, ALM, or asset management.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of actuarial techniques and financial modeling, as well as proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and Python. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
