Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor and lead a global team of skilled Site Reliability Engineers dedicated to cultivating a culture of reliability.
- Develop internal tools and frameworks that empower teams to effectively manage and maintain web-facing applications.
- Implement best practices to enhance developer experience and service reliability.
- Investigate innovative methods to automate, deploy, and manage our infrastructure at scale across multiple regions and cloud platforms.
- Shape the future of our API platform and its supporting infrastructure.
- Collaborate with other leaders to identify engineering risks, prioritize them, and organize cross-functional teams to address these challenges through hands-on technical efforts.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 1-2 years of experience in the Site Reliability Engineering domain, responsible for critical system operations.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with distributed web applications and managing 24/7 production environments.
- Proven experience with distributed web technologies such as envoy, haproxy, ALB, redis, and authentication/authorization mechanisms.
- Familiarity with incident management processes.
- A strong engineering background in operating large-scale sites.
- A commitment to accuracy and efficiency, with a thorough approach to diagnosing production issues.
- Proficient in infrastructure as code, leveraging automation to tackle complex challenges.
- Strong programming skills in Go and/or Python, with an emphasis on automating manual processes and scaling impact through code.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English, with a focus on empathy.
