We are seeking a highly skilled Research Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of protection strategies for Multi-Terminal DC (MTDC) networks.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and power systems, with experience in protection algorithm development and HVDC networks. They will be responsible for analyzing and developing solutions for protection, carrying out simulations to validate proposed solutions, and consolidating studies and results.
As a Research Engineer at SuperGrid Institute, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with industrial and academic partners, and contribute to the valorisation/IP of results. You will also have the chance to participate in consultancy activities, analyzing customer specifications, carrying out system studies, and participating in customer technical meetings.

Key responsibilities:
- Develop protection strategies for MTDC networks

Requirements:
- Master's degree in electrical engineering or power systems
- At least 2 years' experience in electrical transmission systems/protection algorithm development
- Experience in HVDC networks
- Skills in EMT software
- Knowledge of signal processing
- Definition of technical specifications for electrical components (high voltage)
- Project management skills
- Fluency in English and preferably French
