We are seeking a highly skilled Pricing Actuary/Data Scientist to join our Group Chief Underwriting Office as part of our Pricing Team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of our strategic objectives, working closely with underwriting and executive management.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to market-leading technical pricing in P&C Commercial Lines
- Participate in pricing technical reviews and execute thorough reviews on pricing strategy, adequacy, governance, tools, and more
- Support portfolio management processes through initial buildout to metrics validations, strategic plan, and actions' validation to achieve desired profitability for Group P&C Commercial Lines products
- Enforce the execution of the pricing policy, including best practices and technical standards for governance
- Work closely with Group Underwriting, Operations, and Centers of Excellence to implement the Pricing Technical Excellence Plan
- Address regulatory pricing topics related to Group P&C Commercial Lines products and develop action plans to respond to legal and regulatory changes and ensure fairness
- Stay abreast of and appropriately communicate knowledge of industry changes, specifically changes that affect pricing
- Share expertise on product pricing
- Engage closely with members of CUO, Entity Underwriting, and Pricing members, Reserving, TDO, and Finance to improve pricing accuracy and overall business performance
We are looking for a Data Scientist, Associate Actuary, or equivalent with 1-3 years of experience. Commercial Lines P&C Pricing experience is a plus, as is knowledge of tools like Akur8, Earnix, and Dataiku. You should be comfortable interacting with experts and working in matrixed environments, with experience in driving change and building relationships.
