Job Title: Placement Quantity Surveyor

Aecon International is seeking a talented and motivated Placement Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in streamlining project costs and mitigating risks, while maintaining high standards of quality and adhering to building regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the analysis of subcontractor quotations to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
  • Prepare interim applications, ensuring the timely submission of executed works, on-site materials, and subcontractor work to the Client's team.
  • Review conditions and qualifications before tender submission to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Assist Senior Quantity Surveyors in evaluating and measuring contract variations to ensure accurate cost estimates.
  • Aid in the procurement process of subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
  • Generate payments and distribute notices to suppliers and subcontractors, including measuring works and discrepancies to determine final costs and accounts.
  • Contribute to weekly financial forecasting by compiling contract costs to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting.
Requirements:
  • Enrolled in a Quantity Surveying Program.
  • Hold a full Driver's License (preferred).
  • Attention to detail coupled with exceptional planning and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrate an interest in all aspects of engineering and a desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to work flexibly in a team, and a hard worker.
