Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Exyte Hargreaves Limited. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for the overall management of commercial and surveying aspects of new-build/install, refurbishment and design and build/install projects.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and monitor commercial aspects of projects, including cost control and reporting.
- Assist with the preparation of cost control documents and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
- Monitor and measure actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure.
- Forecast future revenue, costs, and cash flow, and provide guidance on improving forecasts.
- Lead on providing mentoring and guidance to Assistant Quantity Surveyors and Quantity Surveyors.
- Experience of pre and post-contract administration, including preparing cost plans, estimates, and measurement for bills of quantities.
- Handling of contractual frameworks and standard forms of contract.
- Managing contract communication, including Early Warnings, Project Managers Instructions, and Compensation Events.
- Managing disputes and potential disputes through negotiation and collaborative working.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in commercial management and surveying. You will have a BSc in Quantity Surveying or a related field and experience as a project QS in a contractor or sub-contractor organisation.
You will have a working knowledge of NEC and JCT forms of contract and be experienced in holding responsibility for a project, including all internal and external reporting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work in a dynamic business environment.
A full UK driving licence is also required.
