Quantity Surveyor Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial Services Team at Lumensol Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing commercial knowledge and support to our clients.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in social housing maintenance contracts and a proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for reviewing and assessing works submitted through the application for payment process, ensuring the commercial mechanism is appropriately applied and that the required notices are issued in accordance with the contract conditions.

Key responsibilities will include preparing applications for payment, preparing monthly reports on cost, progress, and performance, resolving disputes and queries, and monitoring and controlling costs and budgets of projects.

We are looking for a motivated and organized individual with excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, who is able to work independently as well as part of a team. If you have a strong eye for detail and are able to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, we would love to hear from you.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or similar role in the housing sector
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with high level of accuracy and keen eye for detail
  • Background in social housing maintenance contracts is essential
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to work effectively, utilising own initiative without high level of supervision
