Altair Engineering is seeking a highly skilled R&D Specialist in Electronic Systems Simulation to join our team of experts in Meylan, France. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for developing and improving our electronic simulation software, Altair HyperSpiceTM.
About the RoleWe are looking for a talented individual with a strong background in simulation and applied mathematics, as well as experience in software development using languages such as C, C++, Perl, Python, and Julia. You will be working closely with our team of R&D engineers to develop new features and improve existing ones, ensuring that our software meets the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and improve the Altair HyperSpiceTM software, using existing Altair technologies and developing new ones.
- Participate in the testing and analysis of circuits from libraries and/or customers, identifying and implementing actions for the improvement of our simulator.
- Collaborate with our team of R&D engineers to develop new features and improve existing ones.
- Work closely with our program manager to provide use cases, specifications for development, and close interaction with development during the implementation process.
- Engineering school or equivalent.
- Strong background in simulation and applied mathematics.
- Experience in software development using languages such as C, C++, Perl, Python, and Julia.
- Good knowledge of simulation based on the Spice language.
- Ability to work in a team and take responsibility.
- Autonomous, proactive, and rigorous.
- Comfortable with English.
