The primary objective of this role is to advance and refine the operational risk management framework while collaborating effectively with MUFG EMEA (MUSE) and MUFG Bank Europe (MBE) risk teams.
Key Responsibilities in Operational Risk Management:
- Assist the first line of defense in identifying and assessing operational risks while providing oversight as a second line of defense.
- Aid in the implementation of the operational risk management framework across EMEA at MUSEU.
- Lead risk and control self-assessments, manage the control attestation process, and conduct scenario analyses.
- Foster collaborative relationships with colleagues in the first line of defense and provide guidance on operational risk issues.
- Monitor and track events, issues, and actions recorded in MUSEU's GRC tool.
- Prepare insightful reports for the Management Board.
- Support the Head of ORM with broader ORM initiatives, including ad-hoc projects, risk appetite discussions, risk governance, and committee engagements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in operational management within a financial institution.
- A master's degree in a relevant field.
- Proficiency in English.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Experience interacting with senior management.
- Excellent command of MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to critically evaluate and question processes.
- Self-motivated individual capable of managing a diverse workload.
- Familiarity with GRC tools is preferred.
