The Reporting Center of Excellence at SCOR is an internal advisory team responsible for producing and owning content relating to accounting standards in several annual and interim reports. The team reviews external disclosures to ensure statutory compliance of financial publications and prepares Group Executive Committee and Group Audit Committee presentations on large complex accounting transactions and external reporting.

The team leads the progressive development and alignment of sustainability reporting into audit-ready processes, building on financial reporting best practices and infrastructure to support the implementation of CSRD in SCOR. They monitor IFRS 17 and local accounting standards developments, analyzing their impacts and coordinating IFRS or other financial lobbying activities.

The Senior IFRS and Reporting Manager will lead on certain topics and support the Reporting CoE team in all these responsibilities in cross-collaboration with other members of the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head of Center of Excellence with coordinating producing and presenting the accounting analysis for COMEX and Audit Committee presentations.
  • Lead in investigating and solving IFRS/local GAAP/S2 accounting questions and issues through thorough fact-finding, research on technical aspects, and applying existing SCOR accounting guidance.
  • Pro-actively work with all other finance teams, legal entities, and Business Units on IFRS 17 or local GAAP accounting issues.
  • Lead the documentation and communication of the range of accounting issues treated and the accounting policies.
  • Draft and implement appropriate finance policies and procedures for the production of externally reported information.
  • Remain fully abreast of IFRS developments and contribute to impact assessments of accounting and reporting developments and potential changes for the Group.
  • Support in preparation of and participate in conducting IFRS trainings to ensure that the entire finance team globally are adequately trained and maintain core IFRS knowledge.

Required Experience & Competencies

Experience:

  • Industry knowledge of (re)insurance business; actuarial or accounting profile.
  • Experience in auditing and analyzing consolidated financial statements.
  • Experience with accounting or regulatory standards and projects.
  • 7 to 12 years of working in a Big 4 and/or similar experience in industry.

Required Education

  • University degree, business school, or other "Bac+5" equivalent.
