Leader of Network and Unified Communications Operations
Role SummaryThe Network and Unified Communications team operates on a global scale, addressing cross-regional challenges. The leader of Network Operations is responsible for the overarching Global Network strategy, ensuring the management of high-availability network infrastructure and operational services to achieve Service Level Objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Direct oversight of Network and Unified Communications Operations team members.
- Manage, lead, and coordinate a team of network engineers.
- Identify and define the skills and competencies required for team members.
- Responsible for the training and professional development of team members.
- Provide guidance and leadership for a process-oriented team.
- Oversee scheduling, workload distribution, and operational workflows.
- Address both technical and non-technical escalations effectively.
- Inspire, motivate, and guide team members towards success.
- Ensure adherence to established procedures.
- Foster a culture of safety in daily operations.
Incident and Event Management
- Ensure efficient resolution of incidents and problems following ITIL processes.
- Communicate promptly regarding service-impacting events.
- Collaborate with vendors for issue resolution.
- Manage improvement tickets and service requests efficiently.
- Monitor services to guarantee compliance with standards and SLAs.
- Report on critical metrics and service delivery performance.
- Oversee toolsets for event management services.
Continuous Improvement
- Provide leadership and technological direction.
- Ensure the efficient operation of networking systems.
- Manage standards, policies, processes, and site architecture.
- Conduct regular reviews for process improvement.
- Contribute to audit findings and their remediation.
- Coordinate the monthly cleanup process.
- Ensure data integrity and security.
- Develop and maintain business continuity plans.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain and renew necessary licenses.
- Monitor expenses and financial commitments.
- Contribute to vendor management and relationship building.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Telecommunications.
- 3-5 years of experience managing telecommunications engineers.
- Previous global managerial experience.
- Technical expertise in network hardware, protocols, and standards.
- Experience in collaborative team environments.
- Capacity to learn from seasoned team members.
Desirable

- Familiarity with cloud networking architecture.
