About the Role

MUFG is seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to join our Paris HR department. As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will play a key role in managing employee relations projects and providing guidance to HRBPs and payroll managers on employment and social security law matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Maintain HR Policies and Agreements

    Collaborate with Compliance colleagues to create and update HR policies and company agreements in accordance with the Group policy framework and internal rules.

  • Build a Comprehensive Framework of HR Consequence Management

    Develop a framework of HR consequence management in accordance with the Group's requirements.

  • Provide Guidance and Advice on Employee Relations Matters

    Provide mentorship, guidance, and advice on works council/union/labour relations matters as appropriate.

  • Curate and Deliver Relevant Training and Education

    Curate and deliver relevant training and education to improve the department's and managers' effectiveness and drive better ER decisions.

  • Participate in ER Projects and Continuous Improvement Initiatives

    Participate in the identification and delivery of ER projects/continuous improvement initiatives to improve the policy framework, increase knowledge within the firm, and expand ER capability within the team.

  • Foster Strong Working Relationships

    Foster strong working relationships with the EMEA Employment Legal team.

  • Design Communication Tools and Deliver Trainings

    Design communication tools and deliver trainings to managers and staff about employment law in France and Company HR policies.

Requirements

  • Work Experience

    5+ years of experience in an international group, an employment law firm, or HR consultancy company.

  • Skills and Experience

    • Functional / Technical Competencies:

      Employment law specialist

    • Functional / Technical Competencies:

      • Cultural awareness / Intercultural competencies

      • Fluent in English and French

    • Education / Qualifications:

      Master Degree in Employment law
