Join Our Team as an Electrochemical Modeler

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrochemical Modeler to join our team at Verkor SAS. As a key member of our Product Development Team, you will be responsible for developing electrochemical models for Li-ion battery cells and cell components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop electrochemical models (1D/2D/3D) for Li-ion battery cells and cell components
  • Implement models in COMSOL, 3D Experience, and other available tools
  • Run simulations serving different objectives (specification, prediction, advanced studies)
  • Develop tools and techniques for physicochemical characterization of battery cells and cell components
  • Perform DOEs and run experiments in close collaboration with battery scientists and test engineers
  • Construct advanced studies, perform data analyses, run simulations, and deliver study results
  • Review literature for state-of-the-art understanding of complex physico-chemical phenomena in Li-ion cells and cell components
  • Regular review of the state-of-the-art concepts, tools, methodologies, and technologies

Requirements:

  • PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering
  • Strong background in mathematical modeling and model order reduction techniques
  • Proficiency in scientific coding (Matlab/Python) and numerical methods (FEM, CVM,...)
  • Proficiency in simulation tools (3D Experience, ANSYS, COMSOL,...)
  • Experience in hands-on lab activities (cell assembly, testing,...)
