Electrochemical Modelling Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement electrochemical models for Li-ion battery cells and components, using tools such as COMSOL and 3D Experience.
  • Perform simulations and data analyses to support product development and meet project timelines.
  • Collaborate with battery scientists and test engineers to validate models and improve simulation results.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest state-of-the-art concepts, tools, and methodologies in electrochemical engineering and Li-ion battery technology.
Requirements:
  • PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Specialized knowledge in electrochemistry, electrochemical engineering, and Li-ion batteries.
  • Experience in physics-based modeling of Li-ion batteries and proficiency in scientific coding (Matlab/Python) and numerical methods (FEM, CVM,...).
  • Proficiency in simulation tools (3D Experience, ANSYS, COMSOL,...) and experience in hands-on lab activities (cell assembly, testing,...).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
