The Global Procurement Manager will work closely with the Group Procurement & Contract Director to develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in procurement, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven ability to drive efficiency and cost savings.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategy Development:
    • Analyse market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
    • Develop and implement procurement strategies that support the company's objectives.
  2. Team Leadership:
    • Mentor and coordinate Regional Procurement Team Leaders to ensure best conditions (prices, delivery, etc.) are shared across countries, projects, and suppliers.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the procurement team.
    • Provide guidance on complex procurement negotiations and contracts.
  3. Process Optimisation:
    • Create, structure, and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Implement best practices and innovative solutions in procurement operations.
  4. Supplier Management:
    • Oversee the development and maintenance of strong relationships with key suppliers.
    • Negotiate and manage contracts to ensure favourable terms and conditions for the organization.
  5. Risk Management:
    • Assess and mitigate procurement-related risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
    • Develop and implement risk management strategies in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:
  1. Master's degree or Equivalent, MBA as a plus
  2. 15 years of experience in the industry, ideally in construction
  3. 5 years min in solar and/or wind industry, 5 years min in Procurement/Supply chain position
  4. Used to working with international, multi-cultural teams, in multiple time zones.
  5. Energy sector Knowledge (IPP, funds, Solar EPC, Solar suppliers)
  6. English mandatory (French or Portuguese a plus)
  7. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
  8. Good contractual/legal skills
  9. In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, regulations, and market trends.
  10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, and negotiate successful solutions.
  12. Strong attention to detail and process; ability to analyse data from a variety of sources.
