Global Category Manager

We are seeking a skilled Global Category Manager to join our procurement team at Pernod Ricard. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the implementation of category strategy and roadmap, managing strategic sourcing initiatives across all PR affiliates in line with the POS category sourcing strategy and roadmap.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Maximizing value creation along three lenses: Buy Better, Spend Better, and Track Better.
- Creating efficient internal processes and maintaining structured communication matrix with PR affiliates and central functions.
- Supporting the alignment and implementation of the POS category strategy, contributing to the definition of roadmap to deliver objectives, and developing medium-term category strategy.
- Managing 1-on-1 negotiations and commercial events/tenders on regional and global scale, responsible for execution of contracting strategy, and building category S&R roadmap to support Group Sustainability agenda.
- Playing a key role in supplier identification, development, and relationship management, understanding POS market dynamics, and securing good supplier intelligence and innovations.
- Onboarding stakeholders at all levels, facilitating transversal ways of working with affiliates and corporate functions, and developing effective implementation plans for global activities.
- Actively participating in the Pernod Ricard Procurement transformation, leading development and implementation of best practice procurement tools and processes, and identifying new opportunities to reach category objectives.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 7 years' experience in indirect procurement with a successful, multi-year track record, focusing on POS/Marketing categories.
- Experience from FMCG procurement organization at regional or global level.
- Experienced in building/realizing category strategy in an autonomous position, with very good knowledge of sourcing processes and methodologies.
- Advanced negotiator, developed problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in English.
- Practical experience and capabilities in digital & e-sourcing tools, advanced analytics, and in-depth knowledge of POS category.
- High energy and enthusiasm for new challenges, self-motivated, and ready to take responsibility, with excellent stakeholder management & alignment capability.
- Ability to combine vision creation with operational engagement, strong time- and activity planning and management, and ability to deliver objectives in the context of time pressure.
