We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team in Marseille, France. This role will focus on managing and developing our operations in France while delivering exceptional service to our project logistics customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 5 specialists to ensure superior service delivery to project logistics customers.
- Execute a local customer service strategy aligned with global and local priorities.
- Collaborate with sales and development teams to achieve growth targets for the French market.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, synchronizing their needs with our operational capabilities.
- Monitor and drive performance against KPIs, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Conduct periodic reviews with customers to ensure satisfaction and align operational performance with expectations.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the implementation of new operational systems.
- Collaborate as part of the South European Centre of Excellence to share best practices and develop regional strategies.
Requirements:
- Experience in project logistics or freight forwarding, particularly in oversized cargo transportation.
- Proven leadership experience, with a focus on leading small teams and developing talent.
- Strong understanding of customer service dynamics and experience in managing key client relationships.
- Ability to work effectively within a matrix organization and influence stakeholders.
- Track record of delivering results through effective team management and collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in French and English.
- Willingness to travel approximately 15-20 days per year.
