Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and organized Senior Project Planner to join our Defence Infrastructure team. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
Main Responsibilities- Project Planning: Develop and manage project schedules, including production and management of project timelines, resource allocation, and coordination with stakeholders.
- Coordination and Tracking: Coordinate work packages, track progress against schedules, and identify and report on any deviations or issues.
- Stakeholder Management: Interface with stakeholders to provide regular updates on project progress, changes, risks, and opportunities.
- Reporting and Analysis: Produce concise and accurate reports on project metrics, including critical path analysis, to inform decision-making.
- Essential Skills: Intermediate-level proficiency in Primavera P6, strong skills in MS Office, especially Excel and Project.
- Self-Motivation and Communication: Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to critically review and analyze data.
- Education: Degree preferred or other equivalent qualification.
- Training and Certifications: Primavera P6 training and project management qualification (e.g. APM) would be beneficial.
- Project Planning Experience: Experience as a project planner on NEC4 Contracts, particularly Option A and Option C, is essential.
- Industry Experience: Major infrastructure design and build project background and experience working in the Nuclear or Defence Industry would be highly desirable.
Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will require Security clearance. To gain this, they will be required to be a Sole UK national, with the ability to work from home or Assystem offices as required.
