Senior Business Contracts Manager Opportunity at Amazon

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Contracts Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Business Contracts team, you will play a critical role in developing and executing our go-to-market strategy and delivering on our spend adoption plans with our Commercial, Public, and Strategic customers.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in contract and/or proposal management, with experience in identifying and driving global process improvements. They will be able to solve business and technical requirements for our customers and partners, working closely with internal teams to build the best proposal.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders. They will also have a strong industry background, enabling them to develop win themes and technical discriminators for inclusion into proposals.

This role can be located in one of our European offices, including London, Munich, Paris, Milan, Madrid, or Luxembourg.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Participate in and oversee group reviews of all customer contractual and purchase documents.
  2. Coordinate legal activities for contract/agreement negotiation and support the competitive bid process in reviewing RFPs and enabling contract compliance.
  3. Complete SOP Playbook to facilitate overall management of each signed contract.
  4. Review each proposed RFx to identify risks and access compliance capabilities; Advise on contracting issues and approaches with respect to commercial terms and conditions as well as acquisition policy and regulations.
  5. Lead all contract implementation activities, including notifying compliance stakeholders and facilitating reporting requirements and fee payments.
  6. Develop and launch Go-To-Market plan for each contract to educate Customer Advisors and leverage the contract as an engagement vehicle.
  7. Facilitate customer meetings; Lead communication with customer contracting leads.
  8. Maintain contract records/files and manage, track, and ensure adherence to all contractual obligations.
  9. Develop and implement tools and processes in contracting operations to increase efficiency and sales productivity. Support the Customer Advisor team in educating contracting leads on Amazon Business.
  10. Establish internal reporting on contract performance and own monitoring and reporting on progress, including oral and written presentations to EU senior leadership.
Requirements


• Bachelor's Degree

• At least several years of contracts management (including managing large contracts), procurement, legal or other relevant experience with public or private sector customers.

• Excellent communicator who can quickly earn the respect of teams and customers.

• Strong influencing and negotiating skills.

Preferred Qualifications


• Postgraduate Degree or Equivalent Experience

• Knowledge of managed spend buying requirements and/or expertise in reviewing and negotiating terms across a broad range of private and/or public sector contracts.

• Experience in CRM tools and Salesforce.
