Job Responsibilities

SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is actively seeking a Safety Operations Manager to enhance its team in Nigeria.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the effective application of the Company HSE Policies, DGEP HSE regulations, and contractor adherence to HSE stipulations outlined in relevant agreements across all Techlog Division sites.
  • Conducting thorough investigations and analyses of incidents and accidents, preparing detailed cause tree analyses, and compiling comprehensive reports.
  • Monitoring corrective actions to guarantee completion and compliance, while fostering a culture of safety and responsibility among Company logistics and contractor personnel.
  • Evaluating logistics contractors' HSE Management Systems, identifying deficiencies that need to be addressed in alignment with the Company's HSE Management System, and preparing, issuing, and updating necessary bridging documents.
  • Performing regular audits of contractors' facilities, including bases, heliports, and vessels, in collaboration with Aviation and Marine specialists.
  • Keeping the Extended Personnel on Board (EPOB) files current and accurate.
  • Organizing training sessions for the Company's Technical Logistics personnel.
  • Maintaining all HSE records, statistics, and KPIs to ensure precise reporting, including the documentation of incidents, accidents, and safety observations, utilizing the Company's systems and databases.
  • Preparing monthly departmental HSE reports and any additional reports as requested by management.
  • Supporting all Company Safety Initiatives and coordinating HSE campaigns for logistics contractors.
  • Organizing and leading special HSE events, such as departmental HSE committees and HSE Forums.
  • Assisting with HQ audits as necessary, providing relevant information, and organizing HSE reviews for the LSO department.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in HSE or Engineering discipline.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, Company Rules, and industry best practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry in an HSE role.
