In a groundbreaking partnership, Danone and Michelin are joining forces with DMC Biotechnologies and Crédit Agricole Centre France to create a joint venture.

This innovative collaboration will leverage the collective expertise of the partners to establish a Biotech Open Platform, enhancing precision fermentation capabilities and enabling the production of bio-based materials and ingredients.

Key Objectives:
  • To deliver high-quality bio-based materials and ingredients
  • To support pre-industrial development and prototyping

The CEO will be responsible for overseeing the CDMO (Contract Development Manufacturing Organization) across key steps in the conversion process, including fermentation assets and downstream processing.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the CDMO across key steps in the conversion process
  • Engage with the biotech ecosystem and foster collaboration with start-ups, science incubators, academic institutions, and local authorities
  • Coordinate and ensure proper management of all aspects of the business, including marketing, sales, finance, and operations

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will be responsible for leading the recruiting and staffing needed to deliver against the Business Plan.

Requirements:
  • Master's Degree or PhD in Microbiology/Biology or Engineering/Technology
  • Industry expertise gained working within fermentation/biotech
  • International experience and global mindset
  • Mastery in market segmentation, customer profiling, and contract management

The ideal candidate will be an agile leader with the ability to be transformational and strategic yet pragmatic, with a strong background in biotechnology and business development.
