Role Overview:
The Risk team plays a crucial role across the EMEA region, focusing on embedding best practices in risk and control methodologies, conducting thematic reviews, and overseeing the effectiveness of the control environment on behalf of the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and the Board.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Risk Continental Europe in developing and implementing the Group's Enterprise Risk Management Framework across the region and Corporate Functions for all risk types.
- Build and maintain relationships with key functional stakeholders to facilitate the implementation of the Group's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
- Manage the Group's risk governance structure within the region and Corporate Functions, including the operation of Risk Conduct & Governance and the preparation of Risk Committee reports.
- Continuously monitor the region's risk profile against the established risk appetite, including tracking performance against Risk Appetite Thresholds and related Key Risk Indicators.
- Ensure the maintenance of the Risk Management Standard within the region and Corporate Functions, including controls framework and metric monitoring.
- Participate in the Group's risk identification and evaluation processes.
- Assist in preparing and executing regular risk reports and targeted risk assessments.
- Support the compilation of any risk-related regulatory submissions as needed.
- Oversee the risk response process within the region, including the review and tracking of risk actions and acceptances.
- Facilitate the operation of the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) platform within the region and Corporate Functions.
Support the Head of Risk, Continental Europe in relation to local regulatory requirements, including:
- Assisting in the preparation of Regulatory Reports such as Internal Control Reports.
- Contributing to the annual review of the Recovery & Resolution Plan.
- Assisting in the production of Pilar 2 reports.
- Supporting responses to new requirements from local regulators.
- Analyzing new requirements to identify potential gaps with the Group Framework.
Essential:
- Fluency in French and a good command of English, ideally at an advanced level.
- Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
