Role Overview:
The Risk team plays a pivotal role across the EMEA region, implementing best practices in risk management and control methodologies. This team is responsible for conducting thematic reviews and ensuring the effectiveness of the control environment on behalf of the Chief Risk Officer and the Board.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Risk Continental Europe in the development and execution of the Group's Enterprise Risk Management Framework across various functions and risk types.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate the implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
- Manage the Group's risk governance structure within the region, including the production of Risk Committee reports.
- Continuously monitor the region's risk profile against established risk appetite through performance tracking against Risk Appetite Thresholds and Key Risk Indicators.
- Oversee the maintenance of the Risk Management Standard within the region and across Corporate Functions.
- Engage in the Group's risk identification and evaluation processes.
- Assist in preparing and executing regular risk reports and targeted risk assessments.
- Support the compilation of any risk-related regulatory submissions as necessary.
- Manage the risk response process, including the review and tracking of risk actions and acceptances.
- Facilitate the operation of the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) platform within the region.
- Assist the Head of Risk, Continental Europe with local regulatory requirements, including the production of Internal Control Reports.
- Contribute to the annual review of the Recovery & Resolution Plan.
- Support the preparation of Pilar 2 reports.
- Assist in addressing new requirements from local regulators.
- Analyze new regulatory requirements to identify potential gaps with the Group Framework.
