Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Field Engineering Manager to lead site engineering operations for a prominent energy infrastructure modernization project in Corsica. As a critical member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring alignment between engineering, construction, and project goals.
Key Responsibilities- You will act as the primary liaison between site operations and Home Office Engineering, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
- Lead a team of field engineers, managing site engineering and technical follow-ups to ensure projects stay on track.
- Supervise site documentation control and coordinate the preparation of "as-built" records to maintain project history and compliance.
- Review and issue site technical queries, including modifications to engineering drawings, to address any project discrepancies.
- Develop and validate construction documents such as method statements, lifting plans, and test packs to ensure project quality and safety.
- Support construction management with feasibility studies, planning, and scheduling to optimize project delivery.
- Cultivate strong relationships with subcontractors, QA/QC teams, and material management to ensure seamless project execution.
- Foster constructability studies and ensure compliance with technical standards to guarantee project success.
- Provide engineering insights to procurement and participate in bid evaluation to make informed decisions.
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in field engineering roles within industrial construction or EPC projects is necessary.
- Advanced knowledge of engineering standards, surveying, and CAD software is essential.
- Strong proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Fluency in English and French is mandatory, with the ability to work in multicultural environments.
- Demonstrated leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills are crucial.
