Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preventative Maintenance and Installation Qualification (PIQ) Engineer to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a PIQ Engineer, you will be responsible for performing field service-related duties in line with internal rules, customer regulations, and health and safety guidelines. Your primary focus will be on providing specific product support for Liquid and Ion Chromatography instruments, with the potential to extend your expertise to additional product lines as you develop your skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform field service-related duties, including preventative maintenance and installation qualification, in accordance with internal rules, customer regulations, and health and safety guidelines.
  • Provide specific product support for Liquid and Ion Chromatography instruments, with the potential to extend your expertise to additional product lines.
  • Work remotely as part of the Chromatography Service team, providing on-site services that exceed customer expectations and ensuring customer loyalty.
  • Deliver the highest level of professional relationship with our customer base, escalating issues as necessary to solve critical tasks in the fastest way possible.
  • Follow our ethical business conduct guidance and enable the customer's success through their relationship with Thermo Fisher Scientific and the products and services we offer.
  • Utilize web-based sales lead logging tools to ensure customers are offered the products and services they require.
  • Enable alignment of all activities at the customer site with the rest of Thermo Fisher Scientific through the involvement of all relevant stakeholders.
  • Optimize your work schedule by coordinating with all necessary partners for service planning.
  • Manage company assets provided, such as car stock, laptop computer, mobile phone, test equipment, and general tools.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate reporting of all activities as required.
Requirements
  • Professional background in Electronics, Chemistry, or Engineering or related subjects.
  • Minimum 1-5 years of experience servicing analytical equipment or equivalent applications specialist or end user experience.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks with different priorities.
  • Excellent inter-personal, self-motivational, and negotiating skills.
  • PC skills.
  • Valid FR Driving License (manual).
  • Willingness to travel mainly within the appointed region (France) as well as through Europe for training and for mentoring.
  • Good English skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work across all levels, functions, and regions.
