Job Summary:
The Senior Financial Analyst position will serve as the General Ledger interface administrator and senior-level team member to provide guidance to the team and council leaders when necessary. This role will also conduct oversight of the Procard Journal system as required.
This is a defined-term contract position renewable each fiscal year and located in a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer general ledger interfaces for payroll and benefits.
- Work with college employees to resolve budget issues.
- Prepare annual financial reports, including IPEDS, FD's, and SACS unrestricted net assets.
- Coordinate the printing process for financial reports and correspondences.
- Provide backup support for bank reconciliations, journal approvals, and AR-related processes.
- Assist colleges and system office departments with various accounting and general ledger requests.
- Perform testing of financial system updates and enter various journal entries and uploads.
- Assist with external audits as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and two years of relevant experience or equivalent.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to perform at a high level in a remote setting.
- Ability to communicate clearly with all job levels and understand and apply all KCTCS policies and procedures.
- Ability to function successfully within a team environment.
