Job Responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities :

Efficiently organize the store while upholding stringent hygiene standards. Maintain cleanliness across all storage areas, including shelves and refrigeration units. Assist with the receipt of fresh produce. Sanitize fruits and vegetables before transferring them to storage. Properly arrange produce in designated refrigeration areas, adhering to established protocols. Regularly check and monitor the storage temperatures of chillers, freezers, and dry storage. Accurately document temperature readings. Promptly report any temperature discrepancies to the Engineering Department and Department Head. Follow HACCP guidelines and policies to ensure food safety. Aid in maintaining FIFO and FIFEO inventory management systems. Assist in distributing food items to F&B outlets and kitchens based on approved requests from the Executive Chef. Report activities and any concerns to the BOH Manager / Stewarding Department Head.

General Aspects of Hygiene / Personal Safety / Environment / Confidentiality:

Ensure proper care of all equipment and furnishings entrusted to Heartists. Familiarize yourself with the hotel's policies and procedures, including knowledge of the hotel's layout and emergency protocols for fire, medical emergencies, bomb threats, blackouts, and evacuations. Understand safety regulations and ensure their enforcement to protect people and property within the hotel. Uphold the hotel's commitment to the "Environment Charter" of the Sustainability program (energy conservation, recycling, waste sorting, etc.). Adhere strictly to the Rules & Regulations outlined in the Heartists Handbook and the hotel's policies on Fire, Hygiene, Health, and Safety. Safeguard confidential records and information, ensuring they are not removed from the office. Refrain from disclosing any financial or sensitive information pertaining to Accor Hotels.

Qualifications
Previous experience in a similar position is advantageous, such as Steward or Kitchen Assistant. Strong organizational skills are essential. Basic understanding of Hygiene and Food Safety Standards is required. Proficient record-keeping skills are crucial. Ability to lift and move boxes and products is necessary. Capability to work in a chilled environment is important. Stamina to perform tasks that involve prolonged standing and movement is critical.
