CONTEXT

The office of the AXA GO Chief Security Officer (CSO) oversees AXA GO entities across three major regions: Asia, Europe, and the Americas. This office is tasked with ensuring that all AXA GO entities maintain a secure, safe, and resilient environment, focusing on three primary pillars: Information Security, Operational Resilience, and Physical Security & Safety.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Within the Department of Operational Resilience - Physical Security & Safety (OR&PSS), the Physical Security & Safety Expert (PSSE), reporting to the Physical Security & Safety Leader (PSSL), is responsible for the following:

  • Assist in maintaining a comprehensive appointment of AXA GO's Physical Security & Safety representatives across the entire scope.
  • Deliver cross-functional Physical Security services to AXA GO entities.
  • Provide advisory and oversight support to entities in countries where AXA GO operates, acting as a Physical Security & Safety Expert.
  • Recommend updates to Physical Security & Safety policies, guidelines, plans, and controls in alignment with Group Core documentation, ensuring local entities are compliant.
  • Aid in the implementation of shared Physical Security & Safety services within local entities by developing and proposing tailored templates, tools, and solutions.
  • Identify, evaluate, and report on AXA GO's Physical Security & Safety operational risks and internal control issues at both central and local levels, including situations where security requirements cannot be fully met due to local conditions, and suggest potential solutions and mitigation strategies.
  • Play a crucial role in the deployment and reporting of AXA GO's Physical Security & Safety controls and key performance indicators across the entities.
  • Seek opportunities to optimize and enhance Physical Security & Safety measures at both central and local levels.
  • Actively contribute to the deployment of the Security Assurance Framework (SAF) within a spirit of convergence.
  • Engage in Physical Security & Safety communities, workshops, and programs.
  • Develop expertise and demonstrate capability to:
    • Identify and report deficiencies in AXA GO's Physical Security & Safety governance.
    • Ensure high data quality and accuracy for Physical Security & Safety topics.
    • Cultivate a Physical Security & Safety expert role within AXA GO's management teams (Global and Local).
    • Propose and create effective Physical Security & Safety dashboards.
  • Provide operational support in managing the following Physical Security & Safety areas:
    • Site Security for Office Buildings and Data Centers:
      • Oversee Physical Security & Safety requirements for AXA GO sites and data centers.
      • Propose and implement a control framework for Physical Security & Safety requirements.
      • Conduct site assessments using a risk-based approach.
    • Identify gaps and collaborate with stakeholders to define and execute action plans for timely remediation.
    • Develop appropriate templates and tools to monitor activities.
    • Establish relevant key performance indicators and their measurement, and conduct controls.
    • Travel Security:
    • Contribute to defining a set of Physical Security & Safety measures for each country based on risk classification.
    • Create security training and support materials for travelers and their assets.
    • Develop a comprehensive set of protection measures for countries where AXA operates or does not operate, particularly in high-risk areas.
    • Oversee Travel Security activities for the global scope of AXA GO.
    • Propose and manage the implementation of Travel Security solutions and tools across AXA GO locations.
    • Manage Travel Security & Safety operations for AXA GO entities, including monitoring, awareness, and planning for high-risk business trips.
    • Monitor AXA GO expatriates' coverage through a dedicated program.
    • Enhance and automate travel security solutions.
  • Incident Management:
  • Play a key role in intelligence and threat monitoring, coordinating responses to incidents and situations.
  • Design and implement security and safety response plans in collaboration with Operational Resilience and Information Security departments.
  • Actively manage the collection of Physical Security & Safety incident reports and monitor them until resolution.
  • Implement and improve the Physical Security & Safety incidents tool.
  • Physical Security & Safety Audits:
  • Participate in the remediation of audit issues related to Physical Security & Safety until resolution.
  • Support other AXA GO departments on Physical Security & Safety topics to meet audit requirements.
  • Event Security:
  • Assist in compiling a comprehensive list of AXA GO events.
  • Define frameworks and build assessment tools.
  • Monitor AXA GO events (both on-site and off-site).
  • Update organizational support and guidance.
  • Conduct on-site assessments and implement security plans.

Required Professional Experience:

- Over 8 years of experience in Physical Security, Health and Safety, Audit, Risk, or related fields.

- Over 3 years of experience in Business Continuity and/or Crisis Management is advantageous.

- Experience in an international and multicultural environment is a plus.

  • Proficient in English and French; Spanish fluency is a significant advantage.

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of security risk and control frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Physical Security – Health & Safety (Building Management & Facilities, Site Protection for Offices and Data Centers, Event Protection, Crisis Management, IT Material and Data Protection).
  • Knowledge of standard tools (e.g., SCALA, PwBi).

  • Comprehend the strategic program of Group Security and its implications for security in general and for AXA GO's CSO department.
  • Contribute to actions aligned with the strategic direction of the program to facilitate success.

Communication Competencies:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all organizational levels, including senior executives.
  • Skill in identifying the appropriate communication method tailored to the subject matter and audience.
  • Proven ability to present material to large audiences through conference calls, utilizing both speaking and listening skills to convey messages effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).

Education / Certification

  • Master's degree in Information Security or IT, complemented by professional experience in Physical Security – Health & Safety Management.
  • CSMP (preferred) or CPP, PSP certifications.
  • ISO27001 Certification is a plus.
  • An undergraduate degree is advantageous.
  • Project Management certification is a plus.
