As an Artistic Technical Specialist , you will be responsible for the technical solutions that facilitate the production and integration of 3D assets for characters within our AAA game development.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Serving as the technical authority on the project regarding character assets, which encompasses the definition of budgets , manufacturing constraints , performance , and more.
- Proposing, implementing, or enhancing the tools and methodologies necessary for the production pipeline related to character assets, particularly focusing on shaders (hair, facial, clothing, etc.).
- Acting as a problem solver and being the technical reference for the Character teams.
- Assessing the technical requirements of the production pipeline for 3D character asset creation.
- Reviewing the data produced by creative teams (Art and Design) to ensure compliance with the technical constraints you have established.
- Adapting to artistic and technical constraints to optimize the production workflow.
- Regularly communicating technical constraints and their rationale to the modeling team and providing visibility to project management teams.
- Training and supporting artists in the use of the developed tools and methodologies.
You possess significant experience in Technical Art focused on Characters within a real-time context. Additionally, you have the following qualifications:
- Strong understanding of the technical constraints associated with 3D Character production for real-time applications.
- Familiarity with standard performance monitoring tools within game engines (such as Unreal Engine, Unity, or others).
- Knowledge of rigging and shaders along with their associated technical constraints.
- Proficiency in one or more DCC tools such as 3DS Max, Maya, Blender, etc.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and possessing strong analytical skills.
- With a collaborative spirit, your interpersonal skills enable you to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficient in English in an international context.
- Scripting skills (Python, C#) are essential, and the ability to understand C++ is a plus.
- Additional skills: Real-time cloth simulation, facial rigging, hair simulation.
