Job Title: Reinsurance Accountant Associate Czech Republic

VIG Re, a leading reinsurance company in Central and Eastern Europe, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Reinsurance Accountant Associate to join our Finance Department in Prague.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Participate in the closing process and adhere to established controls in the Facultative business area.
  2. Record and book accounts in the internal system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  3. Book statements of accounts and installments accurately, and confirm open balances to prevent any discrepancies.
  4. Generate and manage debit notes, and ensure accurate payment matching within the system.
  5. Communicate effectively with external parties, including cedents and brokers, to resolve any payment or accounting-related issues.
  6. Collaborate with internal teams, including Business Services, Claims, Underwriting, and IT, to ensure seamless workflow and efficient operations.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  3. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  4. Advanced Excel knowledge and proficiency in using accounting software.
  5. Very good English language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and external parties.
  6. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, ensuring timely completion of assignments.
