Experimental Researcher in Mechanical Metamaterials

We are seeking a highly motivated experimental researcher to join our team at the SPEC laboratory. The successful candidate will have a strong background in physics or mechanical engineering and will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and characterizing ultralight, strong random metamaterials.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop innovative experimental set-ups to study the properties of metamaterials
- Conduct original experiments and interpret data using numerical or theoretical modeling
- Disseminate results through publications and various communications
- Collaborate with the team to develop new research projects and proposals
- PhD in physics or mechanical engineering
- Strong background in non-linear physics or solid mechanics
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment
- Access to state-of-the-art technological resources
- Opportunity to work with a diverse team of researchers and students
- Chance to develop innovative research projects and proposals
