We are seeking a highly skilled Global Category Manager - Activation to join our procurement team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for contributing to and supporting the implementation of category strategy and roadmap.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Support the development, alignment, and implementation of the category strategy.
- Contribute to the definition of the roadmap to deliver objectives.
- Develop medium-term category strategy, in collaboration with the Category Director.
- Manage 1-on-1 negotiations and commercial events/tenders on a regional and global scale, working closely with local stakeholders.
- Be responsible for the execution of the contracting strategy.
- Build a category S&R roadmap to support the Group Sustainability agenda.
- Be accountable for the delivery of a pipeline of initiatives with margin improvement projects.
- Play a key role in supplier identification, development, and relationship management.
- Understand market dynamics and secure good supplier intelligence and innovations.
- Be strongly engaged in potential supplier identification, sourcing base development, and business attribution decisions.
- Participate in strategic interfaces towards suppliers, building strong and strategic relationships in line with the SRM program.
- Onboard stakeholders at all levels and facilitate transversal ways of working with affiliates and corporate functions.
- Develop effective implementation plans for global activities, following closely with affiliates on identified local initiatives.
- Provide escalation support to find solutions for ongoing requests.
- Actively participate in the Pernod Ricard Procurement transformation.
- Lead the development and implementation of best practice procurement tools and processes.
- Identify new opportunities to reach category objectives and anticipate risks that might hinder the realization of agreed targets.
- ~7 years' experience in indirect procurement with a successful, multi-year track record (focus on Commercial / Trade Marketing categories).
- ~Experience from FMCG procurement organization at regional or global level.
- Experienced in building/realizing category strategy in an autonomous position.
- Very good knowledge of sourcing processes and methodologies.
- Advanced negotiator, developed problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills: verbal and presenting, proficient in English.
- Practical experience and capabilities in digital & e-sourcing tools, advanced analytics.
- Knowledge of commercial strategies and needs to drive business.
- High energy and enthusiasm for new challenges.
- Self-motivated and ready to take responsibility.
- Entrepreneurial: always seeking new ideas and chances.
- Excellent stakeholder management & alignment capability.
- Ability to combine vision creation with operational engagement (a hands-on approach).
- Very strong time- and activity planning and management.
- Ability to deliver objectives in the context of time pressure.
- Confident and action-oriented, able to make timely decisions based on available data.
