Main Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Compliance in managing the team and handling complex files, ensuring effective team management and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Represent Compliance in the EFGI Client Acceptance Committee (CAC), fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and promoting compliance best practices.
  • Analyze and approve account openings, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Follow up on periodic reviews and CIP modifications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining a risk-aware mindset.
  • Prepare suspicious transaction reports and provide recommendations to the Head of Compliance, promoting a proactive approach to compliance.
  • Reinforce the compliance culture within the bank, promoting a culture of accountability, hands-on approach, and passion for excellence.
  • Control and follow up on audit points, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Participate in the drafting of reports to the authorities, promoting transparency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coach and train junior Compliance officers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Improve and manage the company's policies, procedures, and controls related to Financial Crime Compliance, ensuring a risk-aware approach.
  • Maintain and update the Compliance Risk Assessment, ensuring a proactive approach to compliance.
  • Perform second-line controls on a regular basis and present the results to stakeholders, promoting transparency and compliance.

Professional Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in law, economics, finance, or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Fluent in English (and preferably also in French), ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
  • At least 8 years of experience in a Compliance function in a financial institution or audit/consulting firm, demonstrating a strong track record of compliance and regulatory expertise.
  • Previous managerial experience is a strong plus, demonstrating leadership and management skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines, ensuring timely completion of tasks and projects.
  • Ability to cope with pressure, manage own goals, and set up priorities, promoting a proactive approach to compliance.
  • Excellent knowledge of AML-CFT regulatory obligations, laws, and regulations, including main sanctions regimes, ensuring a risk-aware approach.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to communicate with a variety of stakeholders, promoting effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Independent oversight and problem-solving skills, ensuring a proactive approach to compliance.
  • Analytical skills, ensuring a data-driven approach to compliance.
  • Great attention to detail and high accuracy, ensuring a high level of quality in compliance work.
