About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Operations Supervisor to oversee a team of Store Advisors and ensure the seamless operation of our storage yard, encompassing both indoor and outdoor environments.
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers in the materials yard and monitoring daily activities.
- Lead and manage a team of 8 Logistics professionals, including scheduling, task prioritization, training new employees, ensuring safety compliance, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Effectively manage inventory levels and stock control procedures to maintain optimal stock availability.
- Coordinate the smooth flow of incoming and outgoing goods, meticulously managing delivery times and schedules.
- Oversee the organization and maintenance of storage areas, ensuring proper packaging and efficient space utilization.
- Conduct regular physical and system-based stock checks to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Perform comprehensive annual inventory audits to ensure data integrity and minimize losses.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment within storage areas and loading/unloading spaces, promoting safety and efficiency.
Your Qualifications:
- Proven experience in logistics team management, demonstrating strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in computer tools, including Microsoft Office Suite and stock management software.
- CACES 3 certification is highly desirable.
