Your team:
As part of the engineering division in our Abu Dhabi office, you will be integral to the Regulatory Compliance section.
With six decades of expertise in energy project design, our division comprises 600 professionals across various disciplines relevant to our installations.

Your responsibilities:
In the capacity of Offshore Regulatory Compliance Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing, maintaining, and executing project procedures related to regulatory compliance.
- Providing comprehensive reporting to project management and clients.
- Reviewing applicable national regulations as identified by legal consultants and advising the project team on regulations impacting each project phase.
- Ensuring robust documentation of regulatory compliance is maintained and accessible.
- Creating and managing a permitting register.
- Coordinating class activities with Classification societies, ensuring all project communications are conducted formally and recorded in a timely and quality manner.
- Facilitating the timely transfer of project documents to the Class Society and ensuring discipline close-out.
- Coordinating Flag activities effectively.
- Managing project inquiries directed to Class/Flag.
- Overseeing the commercial aspects and final close-out of Class contracts.
- Ensuring timely issuance and re-issuance of Flag provisional certificates, Class provisional certificates, and other mandatory documentation until final handover to the client.
- Establishing and executing contracts with third parties for verification, ensuring timely and quality exchanges with all parties involved.
- Supporting project performance standard coordination.
Your qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess an engineering degree or equivalent, with a minimum of five years of relevant experience working with Classification societies and Flag administrations in the maritime or oil and gas sectors. Experience collaborating with third-party organizations, national authorities, and regulatory compliance is essential.
Familiarity with local regulations and permitting processes is advantageous.
Strong communication and coordination skills are necessary, along with the ability to engage effectively with third-party organizations, local authorities, clients, vendors, subcontractors, and various internal disciplines.
In-depth knowledge of Classification and Flag administration rules, as well as international laws, acts, and regulations, is required. A solid understanding of the roles, responsibilities, and limitations of third parties is crucial.
Technical knowledge in systems and packages, construction, and testing philosophies is beneficial, with a good understanding of technical safety being an advantage.
Experience in operations, engineering, construction, and commissioning, along with a comprehensive understanding of engineering processes, is highly valued.
You should naturally foster teamwork and cross-functional collaboration among diverse functions, both internally and externally.
An analytical and organized mindset, coupled with the ability to build and implement new processes and procedures, is highly desirable. Your synthesis skills, excellent communication abilities, dynamism, and proficiency in English will be key to your successful integration and performance within our teams.
