Your team:
In the engineering division of our Abu Dhabi office, you will be an integral part of the Regulatory Compliance section.
With six decades of expertise in energy project design, our division comprises 600 professionals across various disciplines involved in our installations (over 20).

Your responsibilities:
As the Offshore Regulatory Compliance Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing, maintaining, and executing project procedures pertaining to regulatory compliance.
- Providing appropriate reporting to project management and clients.
- Reviewing national regulations identified by legal consultants and advising the project on applicable regulations impacting each project phase.
- Ensuring comprehensive documentation of regulatory compliance is available and well-organized.
- Creating and maintaining a permitting register.
- Coordinating class activities with Classification societies, ensuring all project communications are conducted formally and timely.
- Ensuring project documents are submitted to the Class Society promptly and facilitating discipline close-outs.
- Coordinating Flag activities effectively.
- Managing project inquiries directed to Class/Flag.
- Overseeing the commercial aspects and final close-out of Class contracts.
- Ensuring timely issuance and re-issuance of Flag provisional certificates, Class provisional certificates, and other mandatory documentation until final handover to the client.
- Establishing and executing contracts with third parties for verification, ensuring timely and quality exchanges with third parties, and cascading requirements to vendors/subcontractors as necessary.
- Supporting project performance standard coordination.
Your qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess an engineering degree or equivalent, with a minimum of five years of relevant experience working with Classification societies and Flag administrations in the maritime or oil and gas sectors. Experience with third-party organizations, national authorities, and regulatory compliance is essential.
Familiarity with local regulations and permitting processes is advantageous.
Strong communication and coordination skills are necessary, along with the ability to collaborate with third-party organizations, local authorities, clients, vendors, subcontractors, and various internal disciplines.
A solid understanding of Classification and Flag administration rules, as well as international laws, acts, and regulations, is required. Knowledge of the roles, responsibilities, and limitations of third parties is also beneficial.
Technical expertise in systems and packages, construction, and testing philosophies is a plus, as is a good understanding of technical safety.
Experience in operations, engineering, construction, and commissioning, along with an understanding of engineering processes, will be advantageous.
You should naturally foster teamwork and cross-functional collaboration among various functions, both internally (with Procurement, Engineering, Inspection, Construction, and Commissioning) and externally (with Class/Flag, third parties, clients, subcontractors, and vendors).
An analytical and organized mindset, coupled with the ability to build and implement new processes and procedures effectively, is highly valued. Your synthesis skills, excellent communication abilities, dynamism, and proficiency in English will be crucial for your successful integration and performance within our teams.
