Position Overview:
The Director of Strategic Workforce Development will spearhead the formulation and execution of a holistic workforce planning strategy that aligns with the institution's objectives and anticipated growth. This seasoned professional will gather, assess, and interpret workforce analytics, facilitating informed decision-making regarding the strategic placement and acquisition of talent to ensure optimal staffing.
This role is primarily focused on talent management and can be performed remotely, with occasional global travel required based on project timelines and organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acts as the subject matter expert in Workforce Planning, providing the necessary insights and expertise to fulfill the organization's talent requirements across a global landscape.
- Initiates and aligns strategic workforce plans by comprehensively understanding organizational needs, driving factors, and future trends.
- Phase 1: Collaborates with operational units to establish a strategic workforce planning model for frontline roles, which constitute a significant segment of the workforce.
- Phase 2: Partners with corporate functions to implement strategic workforce planning for enabling departments, ensuring both short-term and long-term planning considerations.
- Collaborates with teams such as Organizational Design, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, HR Reporting, and Finance to ensure cohesive execution of forward-looking workforce strategies.
- Develops and maintains regular reporting mechanisms to support a data-driven workforce strategy, providing updates to senior leadership on planning activities and outcomes.
- Creates tools and resources to foster a strategic mindset towards workforce planning throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
- Significant experience in a Workforce Planning role, ideally within a complex, multi-regional organization.
- Proven track record in program establishment and management.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in data science or analytics is highly preferred.
- Strong background in program management and strategic planning.
- Exceptional analytical capabilities, with a strong interest in managing large and complex datasets, particularly in predictive modeling.
- Highly collaborative, with the ability to build credibility and drive change, focusing on proactive talent planning.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging with executive leadership.
